Welcome to the website of the Reformed Church in Rijssen. This congregation bears the name ‘Rehoboth’, which means: "For now the Lord hath made room for us" (Genesis 26:22).
Rijssen is a place in the eastern part of the Netherlands. Our church counts approximately 700 local members and is part of the Dutch national 'Hersteld Hervormde Kerk' (with approximately 60.000 members). There are many similarities between the 'Hersteld Hervormde Kerk' in The Netherlands and churches abroad, like (for example) the Free Presbyterian Church of Scotland, Strict Baptists and other churches with basic principles founded by a puritan way of thinking. Our church claims to be one of the descendants of Calvin and Knox, to be Reformed in doctrine, worship and practice, grounded in holding the Scripture as our only supreme standard.
The church building of the congregation is the Westerkerk in Rijssen. This church is located at the Haarstraat 95. There are two services on Sunday, starting at 10.00 am and 6.30 pm. The pastor of this church is Rev. H. Lassche.
Church services are public meetings. You are very welcome to visit this church services. If you have any questions, you can appeal to people at the church or approach someone using the contact information on this website.
